Linear Kernel for Planar Connected Dominating Set
We provide polynomial time data reduction rules for Connected Dominating Set in planar graphs and analyze these to obtain a linear kernel for the planar Connected Dominating Set problem. To obtain the desired kernel we introduce a method that we call reduce or refine. Our kernelization algorithm analyzes the input graph and either finds an appropriate reduction rule that can be applied, or zoom...
متن کاملDiophantine Equations Related with Linear Binary Recurrences
In this paper we find all solutions of four kinds of the Diophantine equations begin{equation*} ~x^{2}pm V_{t}xy-y^{2}pm x=0text{ and}~x^{2}pm V_{t}xy-y^{2}pm y=0, end{equation*}% for an odd number $t$, and, begin{equation*} ~x^{2}pm V_{t}xy+y^{2}-x=0text{ and}text{ }x^{2}pm V_{t}xy+y^{2}-y=0, end{equation*}% for an even number $t$, where $V_{n}$ is a generalized Lucas number. This pape...
متن کاملModel Predictive Control of Distributed Energy Resources with Predictive Set-Points for Grid-Connected Operation
This paper proposes an MPC - based (model predictive control) scheme to control active and reactive powers of DERs (distributed energy resources) in a grid - connected mode (either through a bus with its associated loads as a PCC (point of common coupling) or an MG (micro - grid)). DER may be a DG (distributed generation) or an ESS (energy storage system). In the proposed scheme, the set - poin...
متن کاملSolving a System of Linear Equations by Homotopy Analysis Method
In this paper, an efficient algorithm for solving a system of linear equations based on the homotopy analysis method is presented. The proposed method is compared with the classical Jacobi iterative method, and the convergence analysis is discussed. Finally, two numerical examples are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
متن کاملA Numerical Approach for Solving of Two-Dimensional Linear Fredholm Integral Equations with Boubaker Polynomial Bases
In this paper, a new collocation method, which is based on Boubaker polynomials, is introduced for the approximate solutions of a class of two-dimensional linear Fredholm integral equationsof the second kind. The properties of two-dimensional Boubaker functions are presented. The fundamental matrices of integration with the collocation points are utilized to reduce the solution of the integral ...
